Disclaimer & Statement of Practice

1.      The Winchester Al-Ghazali Site relating to contents, information, products and services (or to third party information, products and services), is provided 'as is', without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

2.      We do not warrant that the functions contained in the material contained in this site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or represent the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials.  In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damages whatsoever arising from use or loss of use of, data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of the fore-mentioned Webster and web pages.

3.      We also neither warrant the accuracy of merchants' details advertised on our pages, nor can vouch in any way that products/services will be trouble free or will fully satisfy browers who link to advertisers from any of our pages.  Further, the advertisement placed as the header is not the responsibility of this site’s webmaster nor are we told in advance of its nature and the products/services duly advertised.  The only advertisement which we ourselves include is for amazon.co.uk.   Further, any arrangements for the provision of all advertised products/services on our pages, made by browers, is a matter between them and the provider(s).

4.      The Contact Page is strictly intended for serious scholarly debate and exchange of information.  If its misuse is judged to be malicious, racist and in any other  ways potential breaking the laws of the United Kingdom, and countries with which the UK has reciprocal legal agreements, every effort will be used to find the offender.  The webmaster has agreed with the Internet Service Provider (esmart.com) that the site is only to be used for legal purposes and we will strictly adhere to the terms and conditions of this provider.

5.      Where we quote other writers or use graphics which we do not own full details of the legal owner/permission to use will have been sought if this falls out of the usual practice for academic work, whereby short extracts are quoted to substantiate an argument or show proof that other writers hold to the particular view at issue.  The same applies if we hold an opposite view.  If we fail to trace the legal owner of such work/graphics it is on a ‘permission to use sought’ basis so, that if the owner is eventually found, and objects to use of his/her work, the relevant references/graphics will be removed.  We also strongly object to plagiarism and will do all in our power to prevent it disgracing the high standards set by academic authorities.

6.      These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
